SportsX.AI — Booking Terms

These Booking Terms apply when you book court or facility time, or register for a class or program, through SportsX and pay on a SportsX checkout page. You accept them by ticking the box on the checkout page and completing payment. Only you can accept them. An AI assistant cannot accept them for you.

Summary

  • The club or venue supplies your booking. SportsX runs the booking platform and collects your payment on the club's or venue's behalf.
  • AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT or Muse can search, quote and hold a slot for you. Only you can confirm, accept these Terms and pay, on a SportsX page.
  • Your booking is confirmed only when payment succeeds and you receive our confirmation email.
  • Bookings are non-refundable, except where the club or venue cannot provide the booking, a payment error happens, the checkout page shows a different policy, or the law gives you a refund.
  • You must be 18 or older to book and pay.
  • Your rights under Ontario consumer law are not affected.

1. Definitions

  • "Booking": a reservation made through SportsX for court or facility time, or a place in a class, lesson, camp or other program.
  • "Provider": the club, academy or facility operator that supplies the Booking. It is named on the checkout page and in your confirmation email.
  • "Venue": the location where the Booking takes place.
  • "Service": the SportsX booking platform, including sportsx.ai, our checkout pages, our connector for AI assistants, and our emails.
  • "AI Assistant": an AI assistant or other software operated by a third party that you choose to use and that connects to the Service.
  • "Hold": a temporary reservation of a slot while you complete checkout.
  • "you": the person who completes checkout.

2. Who provides what

2.1 The Provider supplies the Booking. Your contract to use the court or attend the program is with the Provider. The Provider sets availability, prices, rules and cancellation terms, and runs and supervises its Venue and activities.

2.2 SportsX runs the platform. We show the Provider's listings, hold slots, process payment, send confirmations and keep records of Bookings. We do not operate, inspect or supervise any Venue, program, coach or participant.

2.3 Our responsibilities. We are responsible for running the Service with reasonable care, processing your payment correctly, sending your confirmation, and handling your personal information under our Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to make a Booking.

3.2 You may book for yourself or for others, including children. If you book for others, you confirm that you are allowed to, and that a parent or guardian has agreed to any minor taking part. You will share the Booking details and the Provider's rules with them.

3.3 You accept these Terms for yourself only. They do not bind or release anyone else. The Provider may ask participants to accept its own rules or sign its own documents at the Venue.

3.4 Bookings are currently available only at Venues in Ontario, Canada. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

4. Using an AI assistant

4.1 An AI Assistant is run by its own provider under its own terms and privacy notice. It is not acting for SportsX or for the Provider.

4.2 Through SportsX, an AI Assistant can search availability, get a price quote and place a Hold. It cannot enter your contact or payment details, accept these Terms, pay, or see whether you have paid.

4.3 A Booking is made only when you personally open the SportsX checkout link, review the details, tick the box to accept these Terms, and pay.

4.4 If anything an AI Assistant tells you differs from our checkout page or confirmation email, the checkout page and confirmation email apply.

4.5 Quotes and Holds expire after the time shown. If they expire, the slot may be released and the price may change.

5. Making a Booking

5.1 Before you pay, the checkout page shows: the Provider's name and contact details; the Venue address; the sport and court or program; the date, start time and duration; the price and how it is calculated; any service fee; whether you are paying a deposit or the full price; the cancellation terms; and a link to these Terms. Taxes and the final total are shown before you confirm payment.

5.2 Contact details. Your email address is required and your phone number is optional. Please make sure they are correct.

5.3 Confirmation. Your Booking is confirmed only when your payment succeeds, the slot is still held for you, and we send you a confirmation email with a confirmation number. If payment fails or the Hold expires, no Booking is made and the Hold is released.

5.4 Your copy. Your confirmation email is your record of the Booking and includes a link to the version of these Terms you accepted. Please keep it.

5.5 Check-in. You do not need a ticket. The Provider can find your Booking using your email address, phone number or confirmation number.

6. Prices and payment

6.1 Prices are set by the Provider and shown in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes are added and shown before you pay.

6.2 A SportsX service fee may apply to some Bookings. If it does, it is shown as a separate line before you pay. If no fee is shown, none is charged.

6.3 SportsX collects payment as the Provider's agent. When you pay SportsX for a Booking, you have paid the Provider for it.

6.4 Payments are processed by Stripe. SportsX does not receive or store your full card number. The charge may show SportsX's name, the Provider's name, or both on your statement.

6.5 If you see a charge you do not recognize or a duplicate charge, please contact us first at contact@nextplayai.xyz. This does not affect your rights with your card issuer.

7. Cancellations and refunds

7.1 If you cancel or do not show up, the amount you paid is non-refundable, unless the checkout page showed a different cancellation policy for that Booking. Arriving late does not extend your Booking.

7.2 If the Provider cannot provide your Booking (for example, it cancels, the Venue is closed, or the court is not available at the booked time through no fault of yours), you get a full refund for the part not provided. If you agree, the Provider may offer another time instead.

7.3 If there is a payment error (you were charged but the Booking was not confirmed, charged twice, or charged the wrong amount), we refund the amount charged in error.

7.4 To ask for a refund, email contact@nextplayai.xyz with your confirmation number. We will check with the Provider where needed and let you know the outcome. Refunds go back to your original payment method and may take several business days to appear.

7.5 Nothing in these Terms limits any right to cancel or to a refund that you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other law that cannot be waived.

8. At the Venue

8.1 You and everyone in your group must follow the Provider's rules and staff instructions. The Provider may refuse entry or ask someone to leave for breaking its rules or unsafe behaviour.

8.2 Sports involve a risk of injury. Take part within your ability, use proper equipment, and supervise children as the Provider requires.

8.3 Questions about the Venue, safety, lost property or an incident should go to the Provider. If you report an incident to us, we will pass it on to the Provider.

8.4 You may not resell a Booking or use it for a commercial event without the Provider's permission.

9. Acceptable use

Do not give false information, use someone else's payment method without permission, interfere with the Service, scrape listings, or place Holds you do not intend to complete. We may cancel Holds or refuse Bookings if these rules are broken, and will refund any amount paid for a Booking we cancel.

10. Classes and programs

When class or program registration is available, the Provider's own documents (such as a program contract, waiver, code of conduct and concussion-awareness documents) also apply and are presented during registration. The Provider may ask for participant details, including a child's name and date of birth. You confirm you are the parent or guardian, or have their permission. Program fees, any instalments, any service fee and the Provider's refund terms are shown before you pay.

11. Messages and privacy

11.1 We send you messages about your Booking by email. We do not send you marketing unless you separately agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

11.2 Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle your information, including what we share with the Provider so it can check you in.

12. Liability

12.1 Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other law that cannot be excluded.

12.2 To the extent the law allows, SportsX is not liable for the acts of any Provider, the condition of any Venue, the conduct of any program, or injury or loss at a Venue, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or breach of these Terms. We are also not liable for what an AI Assistant says or does, except where it accurately repeated wrong information we provided.

12.3 To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for a Booking is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for it and CAD $100. This limit does not apply to fraud, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

13. Changes, law and disputes

13.1 We may update these Terms. The version you accepted at checkout applies to that Booking.

13.2 These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You may bring a claim in the courts of Ontario, including Small Claims Court, and you keep any right your local law gives you to bring a claim where you live.

13.3 These Terms do not require arbitration and do not prevent you from joining a class proceeding.

13.5 If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms and records about your Booking may be provided electronically.
